Below is a lunar calendar that I have created for myself as an alternative to the standard Gregorian calendar. The Gregorian calendar rapidly moves out of sync with the phases of the moon, and its seven-day weeks were made wholly on religious bases which I neither identify with nor place faith in.

As I begin to place more importance on the natural cycles of the earth and the moon, I feel it necessary to adopt a parallel method of time-keeping. This calendar is devised so that it aligns precisely with the full moon. The start of each month is the full moon (this is not unheard of historically), and the month then lasts until the night before the next full moon. This is similar to calendars of the ancient Germanic peoples.

The calendar is procedurally generated using my own PHP and some innovation with solarissmoke's MoonPhase Class. The names of the days and the names of the months are from my conlang, łaá siri. There are approximately 355 days in this lunar year, and 354.37 on average.
